Description
Clean Gyro Log
With the advances in PID tuning with Brian white’s great PIDToolbox, blackbox logging became vastly more popular for PID tuning and frame review. We proudly present this plot depicting the frequency distribution on our KinomatiX 11 BNF. Very low noise in general and no spikes in the important region of below 100hz can be observed. The log represents a 2 and 1/2 minutes flight with some punches, flips and cruising including payload.
Bye Bye Softmount
Softmounting your camera with Alphagel or silicone dampeners is over! With increased stiffness in our massive camera mount and frame body, resonances are shifted out of troubling frequencies regions towards higher, less critical (easily filterable) frequencies. The result? No annoying spikes in sub 100hz region, super clean footage guaranteed.
Adjustable Camera Mount
The camera mount is designed to firmly hold even the heaviest of cinelifter cameras and allows a wide range of camera angles, easily adaptable with M4 thumb screws.
Aerodynamic Layout
thin, braced Arms reduce overall drag coefficient and allows this drone to reach speeds of more than 200 km/h (red Komodo)! As opposed to other cinelifters in this class, all electronics are hidden inside the body for protection and a clean look.
Protective Shell
The outer shell shields the electronics from dust and other particles. Active and passive cooling make sure the Air unit doesn’t overheat even during extended periods of standing still.
XT90 / AS150
The firmly integrated power plug allows hassle free Lipo changing.
Easy USB access
The Flight controller USB port is extended for easy and fast access.
Toad in the Hole
Toad In The Hole is a slim quick release mount. TOADs can be mounted on the bottom or below the frame for quick release of Gimbal and other payloads.
XT30 or D-Tap Power supply
XT30 / D-Tap connectors in the back provide clean, filtered 12V or 17V power to your cameras. Two slots for optional accessories.
Camera mount
highlighting the back hinges of our camera mount. M5 Bolts and massive custom Aluminium CNC parts make a strong impact on flight stability with heavy cameras! We have redesigned and improved stability of the hinge design a bunch of times resulting in a super strong mount while deliberately abstaining from fancy quick mount solutions. In our experience, these often lead to vibrations and resonance issues.
Conformal coating
We apply conformal coating to the electronics of our BNFs, including the flight controller, ESC, receiver, and GPS during assembly. However, to prevent overheating issues, our standard process excludes coating the O3 air unit and O3 camera.
11″ Cinelifter X8 aka KinomatiX 11
We are proud to offer the KinomatiX 11 as a Frame kit with everything you need to create your own highspeed or gimbal Cinelifter footage. This Frame is made and optimized for shooting high speed cinematic footage with heavy cameras (BMPCC 4k/6k, Komodo, FX6 etc) or carrying a gimbal top or bottom mounted (Rs3 Pro, Movi M5 etc). TOAD mounting options on top and below the frame allow many payloads options.
The KinomatiX was optimized in many aspects to create an extremely stiff base structure for carrying heavy cameras with clean flight characteristics and gyro logs. The camera does not need to be soft-mounted with ‘traditional’ alpha gel since there are (close to) no frame resonances that render the video footage useless. Many small improvements for reliable operation originating in the cinelifter community are condensed into this Frame.
Each Frame is hand picked, printed and packed here in Switzerland. Please be informed this takes time – we need roughly 1 weeks to prepare your Frame.
